"What a blessing to be able to be there for other mothers and families who have gone through the same tragedy as our family has. Mitch's March was a huge success - but not surprisingly. When you are doing God's work, He truly provides above and beyond anything we can think or ask. Thank you Lord.
"And thank you to my sons Matt and Marcus (and always Mitch because he was truly there with us today) and Mitch's twin sister Miranda and my beautiful grandkids that were there today John Giroux, you are an amazing person. So many generous and giving friends and family. Thank you for your support and all of your help. This is only the beginning.........:)"
The mission of Mitch's March Against Meth is to raise awareness of the tragic and devastating effects of methamphetamine use, and to support friends and family of methamphetimine addicts.
Mitch's March is named for Mitchell McCay Gray, a Loveland, Colorado native, whose struggle with meth addiction ended with his tragic suicide on the 4th of July 2007. Mitchell McCay Gray was genuine and kind hearted. He was the truest of friends and a loving and caring son and brother. It is in Mitch's honor that we walk.
He is sorely missed by family and friends.
Mitch's story was showcased in the 2009 production, Crystal Darkness.
